Our Story is in the Food
Welcome to Foodymeals. We’re Chloe, Tessa, Maya, Sadie, Nora, Rose, and Violet, and we’re so glad you’re here.
For us, food is more than just a recipe it’s a shared memory. It’s the flour dusting the counter when we’re all rolling out dough, the basket of wild mushrooms fresh from the forest floor, and the laughter that fills the kitchen when a recipe finally tastes perfect.
We started this blog to share that feeling of togetherness. But in a world of quick content, we represent something different: Slow, soulful, and reliable cooking.
Our Promise: The Seven-Friend Test We don’t just post recipes; we live them. Every dish you see here starts as a spark of inspiration. We crowd into the kitchen to create it, debate it, and perfect it together.
Nothing gets posted until all seven of us have made it, loved it, and can honestly say, “This is the one.” It’s our ‘Seven-Friend Stamp of Approval.’ It means every recipe has been:
- Developed Collaboratively: We all chop, stir, and season until the flavor is just right.
- Tested rigorously: We cook in our real home kitchens to ensure it works for you.
- Photographed by us: We style and shoot the food right before we sit down to enjoy it.
When you make a Foodymeals recipe, you’re not just cooking you’re sharing a piece of our story.
Meet the Team
We all share the titles of Recipe Developer, Food Photographer, and Chief-Taster, but we each bring a special spark to the team.
I’m Chloe Bennet
I started this blog to document the rustic, comforting food I love to make. I’m the “Pine” of the group I’m all about hearty stews, wood-fired cooking, and cozy, one-pot meals. I brought my best friends on board to make this a shared journal of our adventures. I work closely with Maya to develop our main courses and do most of the writing for our posts.

I’m Tessa Gray
I’m the “Poppy” I bring a touch of brightness and artistry to our kitchen. As our head baker, I specialize in wild-yeast sourdough and delicate pastries that use seasonal fruits and edible flowers. While I love baking, I’m also always helping Chloe and Maya cook our savory dishes. I believe every hearty meal deserves a beautiful, sweet finish!
I’m Maya Warren
Our main recipe developer and resident forager. My passion is cooking with what the season gives us, whether it’s wild mushrooms from the woods or fresh berries from the garden. I work with Chloe to create our main dishes and with Tessa on new flavor ideas for her bakes. I love the challenge of turning a fresh, raw ingredient into something magical.

I’m Sadie Mitchell
The Mood Catcher I’m our lead photographer, but my camera is just another tool in the kitchen, right next to my knife and whisk! I am obsessed with capturing the feeling of a meal the steam rising off a bowl or the golden light on a loaf of bread. I cook and style every shoot with the team, ensuring that the photo tells you exactly how cozy and delicious the food will taste.
I’m Nora Wells
The Hearth Keeper For me, cooking is about hospitality. I want every recipe we create to make people feel welcome and safe. I love the old ways of cooking cast iron skillets, wooden spoons, and recipes passed down through generations. I work with the team to add that touch of nostalgia to our dishes. Whether we are making a modern pasta or a vintage cake, I’m there to ensure it tastes like home.

I’m Rose Kelley
The Freshness Fanatic I’m happiest when I have dirt under my fingernails and fresh herbs in my hand. I bring a garden-to-table philosophy to our group. I’m always tossing handfuls of fresh basil or mint into our pots, looking for that pop of freshness. I love cooking alongside Maya to ensure our meals feel vibrant and alive. I participate in every step, from the initial chopping to the final taste test!
I’m Violet Lane
The Creative Spark I see the kitchen as my art studio. I love experimenting with colors and textures, and I’m usually the one asking, “What if we added this?” I encourage the team to take risks and try new flavor combinations. I love the energy of cooking with six other people it’s chaotic, colorful, and inspiring. I’m hands-on with the cooking and styling, always trying to make our plates look as artistic as they taste.
