Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup almond butter can sub for any nut or seed butter
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour * See notes
  • 3-4 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon apple pie spice

Method
 

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 180C/350F. While it’s heating, line an 8 x 8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. 2. In a large mixing bowl, add the unsweetened applesauce, almond butter, and maple syrup. Gently mix them together until well combined.
  3. 3. Next, add the coconut flour and apple pie spice to the mixture. Stir everything together vigorously until you have a very thick batter.
  4. 4. Transfer the thick batter to the lined baking dish and use a spatula to spread it evenly across the pan.
  5. 5. Optionally, sprinkle a little granulated sweetener on top.
  6. 6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes. Keep an eye on them for golden tops and a firm structure.
  7. 7. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
  8. 8. After cooling, refrigerate for at least an hour before slicing.
  9. 9. Slice into squares and serve.

Notes

  • Tip 1: Healthy Apple Pie Blondies need to be kept in the refrigerator. They will keep fresh for up to 2 weeks.
  • Tip 2: Flourless apple pie blondies are freezer friendly and will freeze well for up to 6 months.
