Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
  • ½ cup blue cheese salad dressing
  • ½ cup hot sauce I used Frank's
  • ½ cup blue cheese or shredded mozzarella cheese (I used mozzarella)
  • 2 cups shredded, cooked chicken I used the meat from a rotisserie chicken

Equipment

  • Wooden Spoon
  • Oven
  • Baking Sheet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Chef's Knife

Method

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Place cream cheese into a deep baking dish. Spread over the bottom of the dish.
  2. Mix blue cheese salad dressing, hot sauce, and blue cheese. Stir in chicken. Put the mixture on top of the cream cheese layer.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes or until the dip is heated through. Garnish as desired (I topped with slices of red bell pepper). Serve with crackers, chips, and/or celery sticks.

Notes

  • Tip 1: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven or microwave until warmed through.
  • Tip 2: You can freeze the dip before baking. Just assemble it and cover it tightly. When ready to eat, thaw in the refrigerator overnight and bake as directed.
  • Tip 3: This dip pairs wonderfully with fresh veggies, crispy tortilla chips, or even as a spread on toasted baguette slices.
  • Tip 4: For a twist, try adding chopped jalapeños or using a different variety of hot sauce for different heat levels.
  • Tip 5: Consider garnishing with fresh cilantro or parsley for a burst of color and freshness.
