Ingredients

  • 24 units Paper cupcake liners
  • 1 batch Batter for 24 cupcakes Box mix works fine or simply use your favorite chocolate cupcake recipe, it’s your call.
  • 48 units Mini Cadbury Creme Eggs You’ll use the frozen ones inside the cupcake batter. Freezing the eggs keeps them from completely vanishing inside the baked cake.
  • 1 batch Buttercream frosting
  • 1 dash Yellow dye
  • 1 unit Large Round piping tip or snip the end off of a piping bag.

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Mixing Bowl

Method

  1. Scoop the cupcake batter into each paper liner until they are filled about two-thirds of the way full.
  2. Next, take one frozen Mini Cadbury Creme Egg and gently place it in the center of the batter in each cupcake.
  3. Use a spatula to spread the batter over the egg, ensuring it is fully covered.
  4. Bake the cupcakes according to the instructions provided with your cupcake recipe.
  5. Once the cupcakes are baked, take them out of the oven and allow them to cool completely on a wire rack.
  6. While the cupcakes cool, prepare your buttercream frosting.
  7. Once ready, remove about 1 cup of the buttercream from the bowl and mix it with some yellow dye.
  8. Assemble your piping bag fitted with a large round tip.
  9. Pipe a generous circle around the perimeter of each cupcake with the white buttercream.
  10. Fill in the center of the circle with the yellow buttercream and top each cupcake with a Mini Cadbury Creme Egg.
