Method
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 2-quart baking dish to prevent sticking. This size is smaller than a typical 9x13 pan, which holds 3 quarts.
- Prepare the rotini pasta according to package directions. Make sure to cook it until it's al dente, as it will continue to cook in the oven. Once done, drain well and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, Caesar dressing, chicken broth, and green onions. Mix everything together until the pasta is well coated with the dressing.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Don't be shy about getting every last bit in there!
- Top the mixture with the crushed croutons, ensuring they cover the entire surface. This will create a delightful crunchy layer.
- Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the top. This will create a beautifully golden crust as it bakes.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes. Keep an eye on it, and once the croutons are golden brown, it’s time to take it out.
- After baking, let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. This will help the flavors settle and make it easier to serve.
- Serve warm with a fresh green salad on the side. This not only complements the flavors of the casserole but also adds a bright, crisp element to the meal.
Notes
If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. The flavors will meld beautifully, making it even tastier!
