  • 16 ounces semi-sweet or milk chocolate melting wafers
  • 1 cup mini eggs some whole, some coarsely crushed
  • Easter themed colored sprinkles

Equipment

  • Wooden Spoon
  • Food Processor
  • Frying Pan
  • Mixing Bowl

Method

  1. Line a 9×13 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Put chocolate melting wafers into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on half power for 60 seconds, then mix well.
  3. Microwave again in bursts of 30 seconds, stirring well after each. Repeat the process, until the chocolate is completely melted.
  4. Pour the chocolate into the prepared pan and spread into an even layer. You want about rectangle about 10×15-inches max (so your chocolate doesn’t get too thin).
  5. Sprinkle the whole and crushed mini eggs over the chocolate.
  6. Sprinkle the colored sprinkles over the chocolate.
  7. Chill until completely set, about 1 hour.
  8. Break into pieces and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use quality chocolate: For the best results, opt for high-quality chocolate melting wafers.
  • Be patient while melting: Stirring the chocolate well after each heating interval helps achieve a smooth consistency.
  • Don't skip the chilling step: Chilling allows the chocolate to set properly, ensuring a perfect snap when broken into pieces.
  • Experiment with toppings: Feel free to mix in nuts or other candies for added flavor and crunch.
