Ingredients
  

  • 2 packages cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 can black beans drained and rinsed
  • 1.5 cups cooked, diced chicken
  • 0.5 cup diced tomatoes
  • 0.5 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • Tabasco to taste
  • seasoned salt to taste
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar-Jack cheese (or just cheddar)
  • tortilla chips for dunking

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, soften the cream cheese by beating it until smooth with an electric mixer.
  3. Add the black beans, cooked chicken, diced tomatoes, chopped green onions, sour cream, chopped basil, and garlic and stir by hand until combined.
  4. Add the Tabasco and seasoned salt until you reach desired taste.
  5. Scrape the dip into an oven-safe dish. Spread the shredded Cheddar-Jack cheese on top.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees until the cheese is brown and bubbly, about 13 minutes.
  7. Serve with tortilla chips.
