Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 pounds seedless red grapes washed and dried
  • 2 pounds seedless green grapes washed and dried
  • 0.5 cup crushed raw pecan pieces
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Food Processor

Method

  1. Start by gathering your ingredients. You'll need cream cheese, sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Make sure your cream cheese is at room temperature; this will help in blending.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Using a food processor or a hand mixer, blend these ingredients together. Mix them for about 90 seconds until they’re smooth and creamy. The texture should be thick yet spreadable.
  3. Once your mixture is creamy, it's time to add in the stars of the show: the red grapes and green grapes. Gently fold the grapes into the cream mixture using a spatula. Be careful not to crush the grapes; you want to maintain their shape and juicy texture.
  4. After you’ve coated the grapes evenly, transfer the mixture to a large mixing bowl. This will give you enough space to combine everything without spilling over. Make sure all the grapes are well-coated in the creamy mixture.
  5. Next, cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate the salad for at least one hour. This allows the flavors to meld together beautifully! You can even let it sit overnight for even better results.
  6. Just before serving, take the salad out of the fridge. It’ll be cold, creamy, and absolutely delightful. Now sprinkle the top with crushed raw pecan pieces and brown sugar. This adds a nice crunch and enhances the sweetness.
  7. Now it’s time to serve! Grab a spoon and dish out servings of this gorgeous Grape Salad. You’ll want to make sure everyone gets a little bit of everything in each scoop.
  8. Enjoy the compliments as your guests rave about the salad! Trust me; they’ll be asking for the recipe by the end of the night.

Notes

This Grape Salad is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a couple of days. The flavors develop beautifully when left to sit in the fridge for an hour or more. Enjoy it as a side for grilled meats or as a refreshing snack!
