Method
- Pulse the Oreos (including the cream) in a food processor or blender until they become fine crumbs.
- Using a hand mixer, beat the Oreo crumbs and cream cheese together until well combined.
- Roll the mixture into balls and chill them in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
- Melt the candy melts or chocolate chips according to package instructions. If needed, add a small amount of vegetable oil to thin the mixture.
- Place a chilled truffle ball on a fork, spoon the melted candy/chocolate over the ball, and tap the fork to remove excess.
- Slide the ball onto parchment paper.
- Immediately decorate each truffle as described in note 2.
- Allow to dry completely before serving.

- Monster Truffles: purple candy melts, light purple sprinkles, large edible eyes
- Pumpkin Truffles: orange candy melts, mini green M&M’s, pretzel pieces for stems
- Bat Truffles: milk chocolate chips, thin Oreos for wings, edible eyes
- Mummy Truffles: white chocolate chips, edible eyes
- Witch Truffles: dark green candy melts, black licorice laces, thin Oreos, Hershey’s kisses, edible eyes, and green flat sprinkle (optional for a wart)
- Spider Truffles: milk chocolate chips, black licorice laces, edible eyes, brown jimmies sprinkles
- Frankenstein Truffles: green candy melts, pretzel pieces for bolts, edible eyes, black sparkle gel for mouth, brown jimmies sprinkles
- Owl Truffles: milk chocolate chips, mini Oreos, blue M&M’s for eyes, orange M&M for beaks, chocolate jimmies sprinkles
