Method
- In a large bowl or zip-top plastic bag, combine the chicken pieces with the cornstarch. Toss or shake the bag to coat the chicken evenly, ensuring each piece is thoroughly covered.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, pour in the toasted sesame oil and olive oil. Allow the oils to heat up for about a minute.
- Add the coated chicken pieces to the skillet. Cook them for about 6 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally until they’re golden brown and fully cooked.
- Once the chicken is cooked through, reduce the heat to low. Add the orange juice, lite soy sauce, and honey into the skillet. Stir well to combine everything.
- As the sauce starts to bubble, continually flip the chicken to coat it evenly with the sauce for another 2 to 3 minutes.
- Transfer the Healthier Orange Chicken to a serving platter, and garnish with the diced green onions.
- Serve immediately while it's hot, and enjoy the smile on your family's faces as they dig in.
Notes
Leftover chicken can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
