Heat 3 cups vegetable oil in a heavy-bottomed skillet or Dutch oven to 350°F to 360°F.
Roll the dough into a rectangle about 9 x 12 inches.
Cut the dough into 12 squares or rectangles.
Fry the dough in small batches for 1 to 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
