Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Fresh Passion Fruit Juice from 5-6 passion fruits
  • 1/2 cup Meyer Lemon Juice from 2-3 large lemons
  • 1 cup Water
  • 4-6 tablespoons Simple Sugar Syrup

Equipment

  • Wooden Spoon
  • Large Pot

Method

  1. In a pitcher, combine passion fruit juice (option to add back some of the passion fruit seeds if desired), along with Meyer lemon juice and water. Add 4 tablespoons sugar syrup and stir to combine. Taste, then add additional sugar syrup as desired. Serve chilled over ice.
  2. To make a 1:1 sugar syrup, boil 1 cup sugar with 1 cup water until sugar is dissolved and syrup is completely clear. Transfer to a jar or heat-proof container and refrigerate until completely cool. Syrup will keep in the refrigerator for up to one month.

Notes

  • Storage: Store any leftover lemonade in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will stay fresh for up to three days, but the flavors may start to diminish.
  • Freezing: You can freeze the lemonade into ice cubes or popsicles for a refreshing treat on hot days. This way, you can enjoy your lemonade in a new and exciting form!
  • Pairing: Serve your Passion Fruit Meyer Lemonade with light summer dishes such as grilled chicken, salads, or seafood. The citrus flavors of the drink beautifully complement these meals.
  • Customization: Feel free to add other fruits like strawberries or mint leaves for a unique twist on the classic lemonade.
  • Adjust Sweetness: If you like a less sweet lemonade, simply reduce the amount of simple sugar syrup used. You can also use honey or agave syrup as alternatives.
