Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 count green tea bag
  • 1 count hibiscus tea bag
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup white grape juice
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup
  • 1/4 cup frozen berries

Equipment

  • Wooden Spoon
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Frying Pan
  • Large Pot

Method

  1. Start by preparing your simple syrup. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar. Use medium heat to bring this mixture to a boil. Keep an eye on it, stirring occasionally to ensure that the sugar completely dissolves. This process typically takes about two minutes. Once the sugar is dissolved, remove the pan from the heat and allow it to cool to room temperature.
  2. While your simple syrup is cooling, it’s time to brew the teas. In another pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Once it's boiling, add both the green tea bag and the hibiscus tea bag. Allow them to steep for about five minutes. You want the flavors to infuse fully while keeping an eye on the color of the water, which should turn a lovely reddish hue. After five minutes, remove the tea bags and let the brewed teas cool to room temperature as well.
  3. Once your simple syrup and brewed teas are cooled, grab a pitcher or a similar container. Pour the cooled tea into it, followed by 2 tablespoons of your simple syrup and 1/4 cup of white grape juice. Use a spoon to stir everything together gently. You’re looking for a well-mixed drink where all the flavors come together beautifully.
  4. Now it’s time to serve! Take two tall glasses and fill them with ice. Add 1/4 cup of frozen berries to each glass, allowing them to float atop the ice. The vibrant colors of the berries create a visually stunning drink.
  5. Finally, pour the mixture from your pitcher over the ice and berries in each glass. You’ll see the beautiful colors swirl together, creating a refreshing visual treat. Don’t forget to give it a gentle stir before enjoying!
